My first bead

Wow, I just was doing some cleaning in my studio and came across my very first bead I ever made. It really brought back memories. I had some great mentors 10 years ago. Bill and Charlotte Fretwell. They were the most encouraging people. I met them when I did art shows. Back then I was just making jewelry with beads. Always wanting to create something unique that I could not find in any store or online led me to the venture of making beads. When I heard that the Fretwell’s were selling all there beading supplies, I jumped at the chance to give it a try. They kindly invited me to their home and let me try to make a bead. I was told to just try to make a round bead but instead made this fish. That was when Bill said that I was going to do just fine. That was all the encouragement I needed. Now I after 10 years I can say that I am still crazy about making beads. It has been a great adventure. Thank you all who help keep this dream alive!!!
